Cleantechnics was founded through a collaboration between Dennis Grootscholte, an experienced grower, and Gerard Schepers, a chemical and process engineer. Together, they combined their expertise to drive innovation in the greenhouse horticulture sector. Their partnership began in 2013, focusing on silver-stabilized hydrogen peroxide, a promising disinfectant for water systems used in horticulture.

 

The company gained recognition in 2018 with the launch of AR Clean, a product developed to meet growers’ need for an effective cleaning solution for AR-coated glass that doesn’t leave streaks or cause damage, thereby enhancing light transmission.

 

Another innovative product, FoamOrg, was developed in response to the increasing need for quick and thorough cleaning solutions, especially as virus pressures in the industry intensified. FoamOrg has proven effective in removing algae contamination from high-insulation-value plates, a critical concern during energy crises.

 

Cleantechnics is renowned for its hands-on approach, favoring demonstrations and personal interaction over direct online sales. This strategy has helped build a community of growers who provide valuable feedback, driving continuous product improvements.
